The design hotel. nhow Lima is a 243 room tower in the middle of Miraflores built around contemporary Peruvian art, and the draw is the rooftop: a pool and a bar with the city laid out below. Rooms are bright and modern with rain showers and a Nespresso machine as standard.

Every room sleeps three except the penthouse; only the entry nhow room can be set up as two twins. Walkable to Parque Kennedy and Larcomar. Dogs and cats up to 25 kg are welcome at a nightly charge, maximum two; guide dogs free.
Eating and drinking. The restaurant serves breakfast and international and regional dishes, with a lobby bar and the rooftop bar by the pool. The meal plan depends on the rate booked, and we say so on the quote.
The practical bits. Check-in 3:00 pm, check-out 12:00 noon. Free Wi-Fi, indoor parking with self park and valet, a gym and a sauna, an executive floor, and seven conference rooms. Rooms have a Nespresso machine, a kettle, a minibar, a safe, a bathrobe, a rain shower and a sitting area.

Jamaican passport holders enter Peru visa-free, and the flight from Montego Bay is direct, so there is no US transit. Passport valid 6 months past your return to be safe (3 is the minimum). We check it before ticketing.

Peru uses the sol. Cards work in hotels and restaurants; carry soles for taxis, markets and tips. Change US$ there, not J$. Nobody will take J$.
Cooler than home. Lima is grey and mild from May to October and warm from December to March. Pack a light jacket either way.
