Jamaican passport holders enter the Dominican Republic visa-free, and the flight from Kingston doesn't pass through the US. Passport valid 6 months past your return to be safe (3 is the minimum). We check it before ticketing.
The resort is all-inclusive, so you need very little cash. US$ works everywhere. Carry small bills for tips and the tours. Nobody will take J$.
Hot and sunny most of the year, same as home. June to November is hurricane season. We watch it and tell you if anything changes.
