Jamaican passport holders enter Colombia visa-free, and the flight is direct, so there is no US transit. Passport valid 6 months past your return to be safe (3 is the minimum). We check it before ticketing.
Colombia uses the peso. Cards are fine in hotels and restaurants; carry pesos for taxis, tips and the tours. Change US$ there, not J$. Nobody will take J$.
